What is Restylane®?
Restylane® is a leading brand of dermal filler products that are used to restore a natural-looking volume to the face, addressing wrinkles, lines and related signs of aging in the process. The Restylane® formulas are made with hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance that binds with water in the body to help the skin retain volume and moisture. Upon injection, the Restylane® formulas instantly smooth out lines and wrinkles to give the face a rejuvenated appearance. At Vein and Body Specialists, we offer the following Restylane® products:
The original Restylane® formula is a versatile dermal filler treatment. Restylane® is suitable for use in the lips and the area around the mouth, including the corners of the mouth, marionette lines and smile lines. This treatment is clinically proven to last up to 18 months or longer.
The Restylane® Lyft is specifically designed for use in the hands and cheeks. When injected into the back of the hands, it can restore volume to smooth out the hands and produce a more youthful appearance. When injected into the cheeks, it can reverse age-related volume loss in the mid-face while giving the cheeks a more lifted appearance.
Restylane® Defyne is a thicker formula designed to correct deep laugh lines, also known as nasolabial folds and marionette lines. While other treatments may leave the face feeling stiff or artificial, Restylane® Defyne is crafted with XpresHAn Technology™, preserving the natural movements and expressiveness of the face.
Restylane® Kysse is a dermal filler specifically designed for use in the lips. This formula is designed to be especially smooth and flexible to give the lips a natural look and feel. It is clinically proven to last up to a year or longer.

How is Restylane® Administered?
Using a very fine needle, the Restylane® product of choice is injected into your desired treatment areas. A numbing agent can be applied prior to treatment to minimize any possible discomfort, although most patients do not find it necessary. The number and location of injections will depend on the severity of your wrinkles and your particular cosmetic goals. Treatment takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Afterwards, there is absolutely no downtime and you can return to your normal activities immediately. You may experience some temporary redness, swelling or bruising from the injections, which typically fade within a few days.
What Results Can I Expect from Restylane®?
After Restylane® injections, your results will be visible immediately, and will become fully visible as any side effects fade. The duration of your results will vary depending on the Restylane® product administered, but typically falls into the range of one to two years.
How Much Does Restylane® Cost?
The cost of your Restylane® treatment can vary depending upon your goals and the Restylane® products used to help you achieve them. We will always ensure that you know the cost upfront and will work with you to determine a plan that is both affordable and effective. We offer financing options such as deposits on accounts prior to treatment and CareCredit®, and we also accept credit cards (Master and Visa).
