Endovenous Laser Treatment

Located in Bellevue and serving Sandusky, Fremont, and Norwalk, Ohio, the board-certified radiologists at Vein & Body Specialists offer effective endovenous laser treatment for varicose veins. Our highly-skilled specialists are known for providing caring, courteous, and comprehensive services.

What Is Endovenous Laser Therapy?

Endovenous Laser Treatment, or EVLT, is a method to correct the most common underlying cause of varicose veins. Sometimes called endovenous laser thermal ablation, this effective treatment became FDA-approved in 2003 and has continued to rise in popularity. No longer must you go through the process of reducing varicose veins through surgery. With EVLT, you can be part of a 98 percent success rate with a much less invasive procedure.

How Does This Treatment Work?

Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT) is a fast, generally painless procedure. To begin the procedure, we inject a local numbing solution before gently inserting a small catheter into the vein to be treated. A small laser fiber is inserted through the catheter, and applied heat is used to damage the vein. This allows the vein to close safely to minimize its appearance and enable the blood to flow effectively through healthy surrounding veins.

How Many Treatments Are Required?

This quick outpatient procedure requires only one treatment, allowing you to recover comfortably in your home.

Not enough thank you’s in the world for the treatment I’ve received over the year for my vein issues. Dr West and staff have been so helpful and so kind every time I walk through the door. My legs are not only feeling better but looking so much better!! I’m amazed at the rather simple procedures to rid me of these ugly and painful varicose veins! Highly recommend this office

EVLT is a safe, effective procedure that has been FDA-approved for over a decade.

Will There Be Any Downtime?

You will be able to return home after the procedure. We encourage you to stay active and move immediately after treatment and return to work the same day or the next day. What Are The Results?

Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT) safely recirculates your blood into healthy veins. This allows you to reduce your varicose veins and any signs and symptoms associated with this condition. The results of EVLT are enhanced health, appearance, and leg function.

How Much Does Endovenous Laser Therapy Cost?

There is no one cost for endovenous laser therapy, as the cost varies depending upon the type of therapy specified in your treatment plan; however, it is generally covered by most insurance plans. We will always ensure that you know the cost upfront and will work with you to determine a plan that is both affordable and effective. We offer financing options such as deposits on accounts prior to treatment, CareCredit®, and we accept credit cards (Master and Visa).
